What's up everybody!

My name is Owen Beim. I am a 21 year old Freelance Photographer and Videographer based out of Carlsbad, CA. Currently, I am attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, majoring in Art Design with a Photography and Videography concentration, seeking a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree!

A little bit about me, I really started to get into photography around the time Covid started. It was a great little escape during quarantine for me, as I spent many days sneaking down to my local beach and snapping photos in the water. Being a baseball player my whole life, I would only have time to surf and shoot waves very rarely. At age 16, I bought my first full set up to take out in the ocean. The moment I transitioned from taking screen grabs off of GoPro videos to an actual DSLR set up with a water-housing, I instantly became addicted to taking photos. Flash forwarding a bit more than 5 years later, my once renowned hobby has turned into a career that I am so passionate about!

Being raised by my mom and dad, both of which were and still are television directors, while my older sister is also a professional photographer, it was destined for me to pick up a camera at some point in life. I am beyond grateful that I found a love for photography during my teenage years and I have been fortunate enough to travel around the world with a camera in hand documenting every moment. This includes locations such as China, Tahiti, Hawaii, Mexico, The Bahamas, Spain, and England. I'm very excited to see where my career takes me in the future and I cannot wait to travel to more locations across the planet!
